Help cancer patients in your community get to life-saving medical appointments.
Road To Recovery volunteers use their personal vehicle to drive people with cancer who have limited or no transportation to treatments. Transportation is the #1 reason for missed cancer appointments.
You choose the rides that work with your schedule. Rides are weekdays. We encourage drivers to provide at least 2 rides per month minimum. Many volunteers help several times a month. Volunteers do not accompany patients to appointments.
Volunteer drivers are ages 18-84 and
- a safe driving record and reliable vehicle
- a current license and auto insurance
- are comfortable using technology
Interested volunteers complete online training and a background check. Volunteers review available rides via an online scheduling tool.
We would love your help! Connect here &/or check out cancer.org/drive to get started on training.
