Frontier, a certified CDFI and 501(c)3 nonprofit, is one of the largest affordable housing organizations in eastern Kentucky. Our service area consists of 22 counties in the northeastern corner of the state. Frontier Housing is the leader for affordable housing solutions in Appalachian communities in the heart of the Ohio River Valley. Frontier Housing improves the quality of life for individuals and families, helping them achieve long-term stability, financial independence, and generational wealth.

Frontier works to provide access to affordable housing for low-income families in a variety of ways. We build and sell new construction homes, renovate and sell existing homes, and provide repair services to current homeowners. Our Homeownership Department packages affordable financing options for our homebuyers, and also packages loans for families who are purchasing homes not built or renovated by Frontier.
